Why Didn't I Take My Laptop on Vacation?

To start off, let me just tell you that yo girl needed a vacation and Seattle was a great way to get away from the Vacaville heat. Not to mention the fresh air in Kent and Tacoma did me some good, as well as the walking around instead of sitting at my desk. And the BEER! Those Seattle breweries really know what they're doing.
As it was a family vacation with my boyfriend's parents and grandparents, and I hadn't taken a day off pretty much since January (literally I was answering emails and fixing open house posts at Six Flags one day), my lovely boyfriend was adamant that I not work at all on our trip.
So, grudgingly, I left my laptop at home and did not open Facebook or Canva or Instagram or any emails other than to post pictures of my trip on my personal pages. Initially, this caused a bit of anxiety. By a bit, I mean heaps. I did not trust anyone with my beautifully consistent pages, especially since there were seven new listings at McGuire. Nor did I trust anyone to respond in a timely, accurate, and friendly manner to any comments or messages. However, my worries were moot. A good job was done - other than someone forgetting to put the address of a listing into a post about a new listing. Classic.
But you know what? After a little bit, I didn't feel the need to check that everything was going smoothly. My anxiety level decreased exponentially over the week. I slept better almost every night, excluding the night before we flew back. Surprisingly, my back felt better. My eyes didn't hurt and the only headaches I got were from overindulging in deliciousness. Not to mention, I came back refreshed mentally and creatively and ready to WORK! Literally, I wrote and drew ideas in a doodle book because my creative juices got flowing. That may have been the excellent beer but I'm going to say it was mostly the unplugged-ness.
To further convince you how wonderful being unplugged was, here is an infographic from Entrepreneur:
